What is Frame Relay?
Frame Relay Service is a data communications interface standard for wideband packet-switching and is cost-effective solution optimized to support today's multi-protocol, multi-vendor data environments. It provides the transmission of variable-length packets across a digital virtual private network. The packets can access the network at port speeds of 56 Kbps to 45 Mbps Domestically, and up to 2 Mbps Internationally. Frame Relay provides multiple logical connections and employs effective congestion management features which significantly minimize transport delays.
