What is a Private Line or Point-to-Point T1?

Because T1 Private Lines are service agnostic, they can be used for a wide number of applications, regardless of the data format.  T1 (or sometimes referred to as DS-1) circuits may be used for voice, video, data, or imaging services applications.  With the capacity of 24 DS-0 (64K) circuits, T1 lines are designed for superior full-duplex, isochronous transmission of digital signals at a speed of 1.544 Mbps.  You can use the entire 1.544 Mbps for a single, high-bandwidth application, or you can channel your DS1 into 24 DS-0 (64Kbps) circuits.
